The American College of Healthcare Trustees is both outward and inward facing. Its' outward facing mission is to improve governance, leadership, and decision making in health care to serve the quadruple aim. It's inward facing function is to add value for our Fellows and their respective organizations. Our November 2019 conference on the integrative approach to the evaluation and management of pain and solutions to the opioid crisis is an example of our socially responsible, outward facing function. Our November 2018 conference on health care innovation along the magnificent Monterey Peninsula served both inward and outward functions. We feel that it is partly through disruptive innovation that health care will continue to make great strides. However, it is no accident that after that conference attendees who had never met each other before are now working together to advance their organizations’ missions and likely returned to their jobs refreshed from the opportunities to relax and be mindful. The knowledge gained at that meeting was invaluable to many of us.

Logging In

Every primary and secondary member has his or her own account in ClubExpress. When a website is first displayed, the Member Login link allows members to login into their accounts with a unique username and password and to access member-only features. Members who forget their password can enter their email address and first name into a special dialog, allowing the system to generate and send them a temporary username and password.

Enter your user name and password and click the Login button. Click Cancel to return to the home page.

If you check the Remember Me option, the system will store a cookie on your computer that allows you to login without having to enter your user name and password each time. This cookie is secure; it does not contain your actual username and password. But you should only select this option on a computer that you control, so that others cannot log in as if they were you.

If you forget your username and/or password, click the Forgot My Username/Password button.

The system will prompt you to enter your email address and, optionally, your first name. When you click OK, the system will search for this information in the club’s membership database. If one matching record is found, the username and a new temporary password is generated and sent to the email address on file. You will need to retrieve this information before you can log in, and the system will then give you the chance to change it.

If no match was found, or if multiple matches were found, the system cannot generate a new temporary password. If this happens, or if your email address is no longer valid, call a club or association officer or ClubExpress toll-free on (866) 457-2582 to have your password reset manually.

Marshall McLuhan said "The medium is the message. This is merely to say that the personal and social consequences of any medium - that is, of any extension of ourselves - result from the new scale that is introduced into our affairs by each extension of ourselves, or by any new technology". Our new ACHT membership platform is obviously much more than a fancy website. It is a medium thru which our Fellows can profoundly magnify their voice, leaving their praiseworthy mark on society.

The American College of Healthcare Trustees typically has a meeting of the stockholders and board of directors each Spring. This year is no exception and we will be having our meeting at the Johns Hopkins Club on the Homewood Campus Tuesday April 21st. There are still a few slots available for people who are not board members including those candidates scheduled to be voted onto the board. Registration is via the buttons above. The price goes up within the next few weeks. The meeting begins with an included lunch at 12 noon and the meeting goes to 4:30 PM at which time we will take a tour of the world-famous robotics center a short walk away on the Homewood Campus. We will then return to the Johns Hopkins Club for an optional dinner. The agenda for the board meeting will include voting on new members of the board of directors, review of financial statements, strategic planning, discussion of some of the important initiatives undertaken by our fellows and board members, and new business. We encourage everyone to get involved now. Please don't miss out on this important opportunity to magnify your voice and influence. There is technical assistance by phone each business day. Live, US-Based, Telephone Support 6:30AM to 9:00PM US Central Time, Monday-Friday.
