Membership 

ACHT offers TWO categories of membership: 

  • Individual Membership - current, former, or prospective members of health care boards.

  • Organizational Membership - for the full boards of health care organizations.

Who Should Join?

Present members of Board of Directors or Trustees of:

  • Acute Care Hospitals

  • Intermediate Care Hospitals

  • Skilled Nursing Facilities

  • Assisted Living Facilities

  • Home Health Care Agencies

  • Other Health Care organizations
  • ANY non-profit wishing to increase skills in governance

Persons contemplating Board service who are looking for education and training.

  • People of stature in the community

  • People representing underserved populations

  • Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists and other professionals considering Board Membership

  • Mission driven and/or religious individuals preparing themselves for Board Membership

Membership Eligibility

Individual:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline -OR- demonstrated community involvement.

  • Current or prior service on the board of directors of a health care or other type of organization or a stated commitment to serve on such a Board -OR-

  • Demonstrated interest in health care or other community service.

  • WE ARE COMMITTED TO TRAINING COMMUNITY LEADERS INCLUDING THOSE WITH LITTLE PRIOR EXPERIENCE

 Organizational:

  • The board of directors of any health-care related organization is eligible for ACHT organizational membership.

  • Organizational membership entitles all individual board members to benefit from ACHT services.
