Dr. Middleton, Senior VP for Ethics at the American College of Healthcare Trustees, and a member of its Board of Directors, has been a theologian/ethicist from 1973 till present for a total of 43 years in Catholic Health Care. Dr. Middleton also has an extensive work record including: teaching ethics in a Catholic Seminary, nursing schools and medical residency programs; serving as Director of Pastoral Care, Vice President for Human Educational Services, Corporate Director of Values, Ethics and Ministry.  He has served as a Vice President for Theology and Ethics for three other Catholic Health Systems and currently serves as the Interim Houston, Texas.

In his current position is he is responsible for mission and values integration, providing leadership in healthcare theology and ethics for the Governance Boards, national and MBO management, physicians and staffs, and to ethics committees throughout the organization. This includes clinical, organizational and social ethics. Dr. Middleton also leads the Discernment Process for major decisions.


Carl holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky, a Master’s Degree in Moral Theology from the University of Detroit, a Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, a Master’s of Religious Education Degree and a Master’s of Divinity Degree from SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, Michigan and a Doctorate in Naturopathy from Clayton School of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama.

Milton Chen, CEO at VSEE.COM, did his PhD at Stanford University on the human factors and design of video collaboration; Milton was also the co-author of XMPP video standard (XMPP is used by Google Talk and Facebook Chat). Milton has deployed VSee for Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Mandy Moore, the band Linkin Park and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. Milton has also worked in refugee camps from Syria to South East Asia to Africa.

Milton has visited Iraq twice, and taken more than two dozen trips to Africa and Mideast. He has seen countless examples where telemedicine could make a huge impact on people's lives.

Raj Gupta, PhD, is a lecturer at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He joined the American College of Healthcare Trustees as a Faculty Contributor in 2014 and is the Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Board. Previously he was Research Director of the Center for International Securities and Derivatives Markets (CISDM) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has also taught finance at Clark University. Gupta has extensive experience developing online courses in Finance. He has published articles in various financial journals. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
