Rick gave two talks at our innovation conference last year in California ERIC ZIMMERMAN AND DEMETRIUS LITWINnear Pebble Beach. This conference among visionaries at Asilomar, refuge by the sea, was a time for cross-pollination and idea generation but also for relaxation, rest, and rejuvenation. See The Buddy Project's Incredible Computer Sale here. Demetrius is Harry M. Haidak Distinguished Professor and Chairman of Surgery at The University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is a master surgeon, educator, innovator, and leader. Eric is the Founder and Technical Director of The Buddy Project, Inc., a non-profit that provides technology, training, and advocacy for the intellectually and developmentally disabled. His organization refurbishes computers; rehab them for their clients or for sale to the public to raise money. He has a special interest in computer rehabilitation given his work in Surgical Information Technology. He has a strong interest in the operating room environment. Eric is also an autism advocacy speaker.
