Dear fellows and Friends, our April 24th, 2018 strategic planning, board of directors, and stockholders meeting is very rapidly approaching and all Fellows are invited. We need to hear from you as soon as possible so that we can ensure that we have a big enough room and enough food. Moreover, if you need to book a sleeping room at the conference center for the night before and/or the night after, please do so as soon as possible because the rooms are not reserved and can't be guaranteed. The meeting itself will be from approximately 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be preceded by a free continental breakfast and there will be free lunch and coffee breaks. If you know of an organization that would like to sponsor this meeting, it will help them with brand recognition and help us as well, but the meeting will go on with or without a sponsor. The board of directors and stockholders meeting will be for an hour and all Fellows may attend but only board members and stockholders may vote. The rest of the day will be devoted to strategic planning and we are very lucky to have Dr. Carl Middleton, our own board member and Sr. Vice President of Ethics facilitate the strategic planning meeting using a method called idealized design. This will be very refreshing to those of us who have been doing SWOT analysis for many years. Idealized design is different and asks the question, “what do we want the enterprise to be in the present. It imagines what the ideal organization would look like and then works backwards to find ways to achieve that. Carl is an expert at this and we look forward to this all day session WATCH A SHORT VIDEO ON IDEALIZED DESIGN.
